The upstairs patio looks over the water, with a table for six and a BBQ, all closed in by screens. Downstairs by the water there is room to soak up the sun, plus a fridge for drinks and snacks and a full volleyball court. The water entrance slopes gently into the lake, and the dock is deep enough to jump off.

The area

Chalet Pura Vida sits on Lac du Poisson Blanc, a small headwater lake in the Laurentides and one of the quietest around. Swim from the little beach, paddle, fish, or take the free hiking trails nearby (dogs welcome on the trail). Note that there is no cell service at the chalet, but the fiber optic Wi-Fi is fast.
